Terra Nova at the Connected Smart Cities Forum—Brazil’s Cities of the Future

25/08/2017

Last week, Terra Nova attended the Social Innovation Forum—Connected Smart Cities: Brazil’s Cities of the Future, held at the Frei Caneca Convention Center in São Paulo. It was an opportunity to get in touch and exchange experiences with other organizations devoted to urban planning and to finding new alternatives for the social and sustainable development of cities.

“We got acquainted with successful cases of social entrepreneurship and technological innovations designed to streamline public processes and foster the local economy. The challenge of assessing actions and gauging short-, medium-, and long-term results was also a high point in the forum, which helped to bring our network contacts closer together to develop our work”, said Gabriela Ortiz Sampaio, Terra Nova’s social coordinator, who represented the company in the occasion.

The Connected Smart Cities Forum saw the launching of the 3rd edition of the Connected Smart Cities Ranking, which seeks to identify the cities with the highest development potential in Brazil. Based on indicators developed by consulting firm Urban Systems, it ranks the most intelligent cities in the nation, offering a clearer view of their features and investment requirements.
